All new students are encouraged to live on-campus. Transition Students have an option to live off-campus with host families coordinated by Study Group. New Transition students applying for on-campus housing will be placed into a wing in Foss Hall. PLU has 10 residence halls, to learn about each of them, visit residential life's website. Complete "Housing Application Form" sent with the PLU admittance packet from the Office of Admissions. Send completed form back to:

Students are also required to have a meal plan when living on-campus. To learn more, visit the Dining Services website.
Once your housing application is complete, the Residential Life Office will place you in housing according to your preferences in order which are recieved. You are placed into on-campus housing by the same process as any other PLU students. You may choose to live in a single room or with a roommate. Apply early!
Residential Life will email you your hall assingment first and later email you again with a room and a roommate assingment. All correspondance will be done via PLU email. Be sure to check your PLU email account!
Residential Life understands that international students faces many unique challenges when settling into on-campus housing. International Students also must attend International Student Orientation pior to New Student Orientation begins. Therefore, International Students are allowed to arrive early to residence halls!
International Student check in date to on-campus housing for the Fall semester is 9 days before the 1st day of class. For Spring semester, the check in date is 2 days before the 1st day of class. These dates should be on Sundays. All check-in happen at Campus Safety office between 9AM- 10PM on these Sundays. Please be sure to make this time frame!
The residence halls close during Winter Break and Summer Break; however, there are two halls available for those students unable to travel home. If you know you will need to live on campus during these periods, just be sure to contact the Residential Life Office.
