Get involved on campus

Global Campus Connection

Global Campus Connection

New international students and current PLU students are grouped for a mutually beneficial learning experience. Approximately 50% of PLU students study abroad and they know how important it is for new international students to be connected with local people. Many American students have already signed up to help you adjust to your new environment, learn about your culture, language, and just to have a fun time with you.

PLU celebrates IEW in November. Two main events are called Around the World and Global Get Down. Around the World is an opportunity to showcase your country through hands-on activities and demonstrations with a small audience. If you have a talent for singing, dancing, or playing musical instruments in front of a large audience, Global Get Down is for you. Before you leave your home country, consider to pack items to share on-campus. We would love to see your traditional dress, crafts, musical instruments, edible snacks, currencies, arts, pictures, games, etc…
