Web siteVirus protection for university and personally-owned computers of PLU students, faculty, and staff.
Anti-virus ProtectionAnyone who uses a computer on the PLU campus network shares responsibility for protecting network services for others. PLU requires that a reliable anti-virus program be installed on any computer connected to the PLU network. Anti-virus protection is installed on all university-owned computers. For personal computers, you can use paid or free anti-virus software. If you're not sure where to start, I&TS staff provide a list of recommended free anti-virus software. Once the anti-virus software is installed, it is critical that you perform regular updates. More information on anti-virus programs is available at

Windows Domain AccountsWindows computers on campus generally connect to the network using a domain account and require a username and password login. Most of the logins on campus use the ePass username and password. When you log on to a campus computer, your ePass information is verified in order to provide you with a specific set of network permissions relative to your needs. These Windows accounts are created when a student or employee creates the ePass account.
Supervisors of student employees will need to complete the Student Employee Windows Access form and submit it to User Support.Access windows computers on campus using a domain account.User Services8am-5pm M-F8am-5pm M-F Help Desk, main floor of the LibraryAccounts and PasswordsNetwork, Wireless, Phones, and Cable TVComputers and Softwarewindows login domain
WirelessWireless network connections are available through campus. When using a personally owned device such as a computer or smart phone, the first step is to register the device on PLU’s network. Members of the PLU community must have a current ePass account; guests may use the guest registration when on campus.Connect via wireless to the PLU campus network.Systems and Communications24 x 7 x 3658am-5pm M-FHelp Desk, main floor of the LibraryNetwork, Wireless, Phones, and Cable TVwireless, network, register, Gatekeeper
