Your PLU ID (Lutecard) is your library card. When you first check out a book, our circulation staff will add a barcode to the back of your Lutecard. There is no limit to the number of books, journals, or CDs you can check out, and you can check out up to 5 DVDs at a time. Late fines are 25 cents per item, per day, 25 cents per hour for reserves.

Have articles and books from libraries worldwide, including those listed below, delivered to your inbox or to the Interlibrary Loan shelf in the library. The library catalog and most library databases allow you to make ILL requests for any book or article the PLU library does not have, or any book the PLU library does have that is currently checked out, often within 48 hours and at no cost to you.
Renew Interlibrary Loan books by logging on to ILLiad. Click View/ Checked Out Items/Click on the Transaction Number of the book you wish to renew. Click on Renew Request, this will send a request of ten days renewal to the lending library. If you are having problems renewing an item, please contact the ILL staff.
Got a Capstone course or special project that requires a lot of library research?
At your professor's request, you can check out up to five books for an additional 28 days, as long as the books are not on hold for another patron. This does not apply to print journals, media materials, or Interlibrary Loans.
If you'd like to take advantage of extended loan periods, please ask your professor to contact Circulation at either circdesk@plu.edu, 535-7500, or in person with the name of the course, a list of the students' names, and the research subject.
