Interlibrary Loan

The library catalog and most library databases allow you to make ILL requests for any book or article the PLU library does not have, or any book the PLU library does have that is currently checked out, often within 48 hours and at no cost to you.

Renew Interlibrary Loan books by logging on to ILLiad. Click View/ Checked Out Items/Click on the Transaction Number of the book you wish to renew. Click on Renew Request, this will send a request of ten days renewal to the lending library. If you are having problems renewing an item, please contact the ILL staff.

Extended loan periods for students

Got a Capstone course or special project that requires a lot of library research?

At your professor's request, you can check out up to five books for an additional 28 days, as long as the books are not on hold for another patron. This does not apply to print journals, media materials, or Interlibrary Loans.

If you'd like to take advantage of extended loan periods, please ask your professor to contact Circulation at either circdesk@plu.edu, 535-7500, or in person with the name of the course, a list of the students' names, and the research subject.
