PLU faculty, students, and staff may request that the library purchase a book, DVD, audio CD, or other material using this form. Your request will be routed to the appropriate subject librarian for review.
If you are a faculty member, you can also make your request through your department's faculty library liaison, listed below. This is a better option if you have a lot of requests.
Every department and academic program has a designated faculty library liaison who oversees faculty collection development requests for the library, and partners with the subject librarian to grow, develop, and maintain the library collection. Find your liaison on this page.
Your department or program's faculty library liaison is listed below. Your liaison will contact you periodically throughout the year for your purchase requests; or, if you have a request, send it to your liaison for review.
A special notice about journals: library journal subscriptions are reviewed every September. Due to escalating journal subscription costs, the library can only add a new subscription under your department's fund if we cancel one of equal or greater cost; talk with your faculty library liaison for details. Also, your journal may already be available through one of our hundreds of databases or aggregators; check Journals@PLU for coverage dates and indexing. Finally, the library can get almost any journal article through Interlibrary Loan at no cost to you, so please consider this as an alternative.
