Films via Netflix for Classroom Use
So that faculty can screen a larger selection of films in class, Mortvedt Library is piloting the Netflix film rental service (for faculty only). It is not intended for home or recreational use.
Use
this service for:
- Experiments in teaching
- Classes where content changes each
semester
- Films unavailable for purchase
- Films that need not become part of the
library collection
- Preview copies when a film is being
considered for purchase
Find a film on Netflix and note the identifying
information.
- Fill out the video request form 7 business days before the film is needed.
- You will receive an email from us when
the DVD arrives.
- Pick up the DVD at the Circulation
Desk and return it on or before the due date.
- The DVD will be checked out to you for
7 days. (After three business days on the hold shelf, the video will be
returned to Netflix.)
Additional information:
- The University can only borrow 3 films
at one time, so please return DVDs ASAP.
- Netflix DVDs cannot be placed on
reserve.
- If a DVD is lost or not returned
within 30 days, you will be billed a $50 lost fee.
