Your ePass is the main way to get to library databases, course reserves, and other electronic resources from off campus. You can log in using your ePass right now, or click on a database link and enter your ePass when prompted.
Most online library resources can be connected to from off campus, but a few cannot. Links with a padlock or "ePass" icon are available to you.
If you receive a message that you must log in, but cannot see a way to do so:
Make sure you have pop-ups enabled, and try again.
Set your browser to allow cookies.
If you type in your ePass and get a connection error:
Try again, in case you entered your ePass information correctly.
The resource you're connecting to may not be available off campus, or may require a login other than your ePass. Check the link you're connecting from to be sure.
If you cannot connect to any pages on the library website:
If you have checked all of the above and cannot diagnose the problem, please call the library reference desk at (253) 535-7507 during the library's open hours.
Make sure that you typed your e-mail address correctly.
Copy and paste the password from your e-mail to make sure there are no errors.
Enter Interlibrary Loan from the library website instead of going through your e-mail.
Clicked link to open the file, but the file did not open even though the number of views increased:
Set your browser to allow pop-ups.
In Mozilla Firefox: Go to Tools > Options > Content and un-check the box labeled "Block pop-up windows." You can also enter http://www.plu.edu/~libr under "Exceptions".
In Internet Explorer: Go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy. Under "Popup Blocker", un-check the box labeled "Block pop-ups".
Other things to try:
If possible, try from a different computer.
Make sure the computer you're using has Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. If it doesn't, you can download the Reader from Adobe. (It's free!)
Does your computer have a firewall installed? This may interfere with your ability to download the file.
Use your PLU e-mail address to make ILL requests, and do not forward it to another address.
Do not use an AOL address to make an ILL request.
Could not get the file to work, but am out of views:

Pacific Lutheran University provides off-campus access to library research databases to current students, faculty and staff.
Alumni, members of the public, and consortia members can access library research databases by coming into the library and using the public computers (which a staff member can log them onto). Alumni do not have off-campus access to databases. Alumni and Friends of the Library cards do not include off-campus access to databases. Visitors 18 and under must have a teacher's note or permission slip to use the library computers.
