Library Services

Online resource and database access

You are welcome to use all of the PLU library's resources, including article databases, when visiting the PLU campus. Help desk staff will log you in to a library computer that will give you access to subscription resources. However, due to vendor licensing restrictions, we regret that we cannot provide alumni access to library databases from off campus: access is restricted to current students, faculty, and staff. If you do try to log in, you will be prompted for a PLU ePass. ePass access to library resources expires upon graduation. An alumni library card does not include off-campus access to databases.

Borrowing privileges

Your PLU ID (Lutecard) is your library card. When you first check out a book, our circulation staff will add a barcode to the back of your Lutecard. There is no limit to the number of books, journals, or CDs you can check out, and you can check out up to 5 DVDs at a time. Late fines are 25 cents per item, per day, 25 cents per hour for reserves.

Renew PLU books online through your account.
