PLU's Language Placement Exams
Through placement, you will be assured of taking a course with other students at your same level and of benefiting as much as possible from the instruction.
French Placement Exam.
The French placement test is offered throughout the school year and summer during normal operating hours in the Language Resource Center. You do not need an appointment to take the placement exam. (See below for directions.) You can take the placement exam online on or off campus at http://webcape.byuhtrsc.org?acct=plu. The password is "lutes1". The test takes about 15-25 minutes. Please print a copy of the results for your records.
Placement guide for French Placement Exam: Upon completing the placement exam, you will see your results automatically in your internet browser. Please print a copy of this. If your results place you in a course that is not offered during the term you wish to register, please contact the French Program Faculty for proper placement: Rebecca Wilkin at 253-535-7313 or wilkinrm@plu.edu, or Mark Jensen at 253-535-7219 or jensenmk@plu.edu.

- 196-355: Spanish 102
- 356-439: Spanish 201
- 440 and higher: Consult with Spanish Program Faculty
