Clinical Supervisors
Our department faculty also serve as supervisors for Therapists-In-Training. Additional professionals from community agencies are employed at PLU to serve as supervisors. All supervisors are considered to be experts in their fields and work closely with our students to ensure a high standard of education for them as well as a quality service for our clients. Supervisors are Approved Supervisors of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapists (AAMFT) or the equivalent.
What does a supervisor do?
Supervisors meet with their respective therapists once a week for 1.5-2 hours to review client cases, offer suggestions for treatment and for therapist improvement in their practices. Supervision hours are recorded for program completion requirements, as well as for progress toward MFT licensure.
