Assistant Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy
Ph.D., Loma Linda University, 2011
I am passionate about teaching and training students in effective marriage and family therapy as well as practicing family and couple therapy. My research interests include training and supervision issues, clinical interventions with families and couples, and the interaction between spirituality and relational well-being. I enjoyed working for three years in the California Chino Valley School District providing therapy to diverse children and families and for two and a half years with couples and families at the Behavioral Health Institute in Redlands, California. I primarily work from an experiential systemic perspective integrating larger contextual issues. Originally from Hawaii, I have lived in New England, England and Southern California, and enjoy being outdoors hiking, cycling or kayaking.
