Each semester, The Matrix co-editors choose a social justice theme around which the publication is focused. This semester, our theme is "Privilege and Responsibility." While we hope that the existence of a theme can help students concentrate their ideas, we understand that sometimes the theme may limit students’ ability to be involved. For this reason, we encourage you to submit ANYTHING dealing with social justice: whether it’s a class assignment you did about racism, poetry about an experience you had studying abroad that opened your eyes to a particular injustice, or art that reflects a human rights violation in this world. We would love to hear what issues you’re interested in, even if they don’t necessarily conform to the theme.
