The company provides business managers with objective and informed insights about the future of the economy as well as specific industries. The primary focus of the firm is housing and forest products issues. Prior to this, Dr. Michaelis served as Vice President of Marketing and Economic Research at Weyerhaeuser. He worked closely with Senior Management on strategy development. While at Weyerhaeuser, Michaelis introduced new and creative ways to help the executive team think about the future when it was crucial to major decisions. Michaelis earned his master’s and doctoral degrees in Economics from Washington State University. His community involvement is evident from the extensive professional membership and other associations.
