Pacific Lutheran University (Tacoma, WA) is pleased to announce their second Guitar Festival, featuring PLU guitar faculty members Elizabeth CD Brown and Dr. Stephen Howland alongside guests Don Mock and Gary Burgess. Designed for guitar enthusiasts of all levels, the PLU Guitar Festival will include hands on Jazz, Classical and Flamenco Guitar workshops, concerts, a lute and guitar history lecture/performance and an exhibition highlighting regional guitar builders. Festival participants will have the opportunity to perform with the PLU Guitar Orchestra, with music available in advance. The festival takes place at Pacific Lutheran University, in the Mary Baker Russell Music Center, with concerts held in the exquisite Lagerquist Concert Hall. Festival Registration, which includes admission to all events, is $60 (General) and $30 (Seniors & Students, Middle School and older). The Festival is supported in part by the D'Addario Music Foundation, and the first 50 registrants will receive a complimentary set of D'Addario strings!
