There are various scholarship opportunities available to students seeking funding to help cover the costs of participation in this symposium.
The Northwest Horn Society offers a scholarship which reimburses the full registration fee to a selected high school and college student. To apply, please submit a one-page essay describing why you are deserving of financial aid as well as one letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor (private, youth symphony, ensemble, etc.). Please email your materials by March 15, 2012 to the chair of the scholarship committee, Kathleen Farner, at farnerkv@comcast.net.
The Barry Tuckwell Scholarship is an award that is given by the International Horn Society to cover costs of up to $500 for the attendance of a workshop or symposium. Visit www.hornsociety.org for more information.
