Lecture is free to PLU faculty, staff, and students. $10 for public.
Historian John C. Jackson will speak to the PLU community and Learning is ForEver. The Pacific Northwest receives barely a mention when one hears of The War of 1812. Did you know John Jacob Astor sold the area around the mouth of the Columbia River to the French? Mr. Jackson will tell the amusing political comedy of how Astoria was returned to the United States.

The ethics involved in biological research covers a wide range of disciplines: philosophy, religion, law, medicine, and human values. Dr. Suzanne Holland, professor at the University of Puget Sound, will speak to several of the issues and trends in our 21st century.
Learning ForEver offers this class free to the PLU faculty, staff, and students. $10 to the public.
