This year’s theme is LUTEOLOGY – Rooting, Growing, Branching. We encourage you to think about who is on your PLU Family Tree and invite them to join you at Homecoming 2010.
The Meant to Live portion of our Wild Hope Project will be the “kick-off” to Homecoming 2010. The Meant to Live program encourages alumni to come home to share their vocational journey with PLU students and what better time than Homecoming. On Friday, October 8th, an entire day of activities around this theme has been planned. There will be an Apple Fest – complete with an apple dessert and live entertainment.
Other highlights of the weekend that you might enjoy, include the football game at 12:30 on Saturday, October 9th against Whitworth. University Congregation’s Homecoming Worship is always a very special day for the university.

Family Weekend 2010
Each year, the Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations, with the help of a number of campus partners, organizes a special weekend just for our PLU Families. Some of the highlights of this years program—scheduled for November 5-7—include an evening of BUNKO!, Family University (the morning session will focus on services while the afternoon session will be workshops taught by interesting faculty administration and staff), a VARIETY SHOW featuring PLUTONIC (recently back from their appearance on America’s Got Talent), an international breakfast complete with entertainment, and a very special university congregation worship service.
This weekend is planned with all students and families in mind. So whether your student is a first year student or a senior—we really encourage you to come to PLU for the weekend. It is a great opportunity to meet roommates and friends, faculty and staff and to have a bit of a “first hand” experience of college Lute Style!
