
Before coming to PLU this year, Sergia Hay has taught philosophy courses for the University of Maryland and the University of Massachusetts. Her area of scholarly specialization is Søren Kierkegaard, and her dissertation discussed the positive role of silence within Kierkegaard's ethics. Her current areas of research include the influence of Johann Hamann on Kierkegaard's thought as well as ancient Greek and post-Enlightenment views of nature.
