The Board of Regents consists of a maximum of 35 voting members:

  • The President of the university, ex-officio
  • Three Bishops of the synods of Region 1 of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
  • No less than one-half of the total number of Regents are from the membership of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (three are rostered leaders)
  • Remaining Regents are comprised of Alumni and Regent-At-Large positions
