Student Services
Payment Contracts and Address Confirmation Forms must be submitted prior to the start of classes. If you received an offer of Financial Aid, then you must sign and return it to Student Services to take advantage of the aid offered to you. Contact the Student Services Center at 253-535-7161 or 800-678-3243 with questions.

Voter Registration
A core value at PLU is active citizenship. You can insure that your voice will be heard by registering to vote at your permanent residence. PLU’s goal is to have every eligible voter registered. Request an absentee ballot online at http://justvote.org/vote_absentee_ballot.html. Register to vote online at www.rockthevote.com. You can register to vote at the PLU Campus Concierge too!

Health Insurance
It is strongly recommended that you have health insurance while you attend PLU. Nursing students and students studying abroad must have health insurance. International students will receive insurance information from the Wang Center for International Programs. Information on several individual medical insurance plans can be found on the Health Services website at www.plu.edu/~slif/hs/ or call Health Services at 253-535-7337 for more information.

Medical Withdrawal Insurance
Students are offered an optional insurance plan through Dewar Insurance Company that covers tuition, room and meals should the need arise to withdraw from PLU for medical reasons. For more information, please access the Dewar Web site at www.collegerefund.com and select Pacific Lutheran University, or contact the Office of Student Life at 253-535-7191, slif@plu.edu.

Students with Disabilities
If you have a disability and wish to request accommodations, please contact Dr. Alene Klein, Director of Services for Students with Disabilities, at least six weeks prior to the start of classes. Guidelines for required documentation and relevant policies are available at www.plu.edu/~slif/ct or contact Dr. Klein at 253-535-7206 (TDD 253-536-5074) or kleinal@plu.edu. If you will be living on campus and need special
accommodations, please contact Residential Life at 253-535-7200.

Athletes
If you are considering participating as a varsity athlete, please contact Gary Nicholson, PLU Athletic Trainer, at 253-535-7366 or 253-535-7350.

New athletes are required to complete the new athletic physical form prior to attending tryouts, practice or competition. Please call after August 18, 2005 to schedule an appointment (253-535-7337).

Returning PLU athletes should contact their coach directly or via the Athletics Office at 253-535-7350 for fall practice schedules.
