Wisdom From Harstad Residents

A really important thing about staying on campus, is the proximity you have to all the amazing things going on. Harstad is right next to the Library, so studying doesn't seem like too much of a burden. I always reserved study rooms, and walked there in my pjs to study for a few hours.  It was also helpful because the walls in Harstad are really thick, which means you don’t have to worry about being bothered by noise. Studying was a breeze. [P.P., Harstad]

I was given the opportunity to be a part of RHC (Resident Hall Council) as a first year student. I think this experience is what really made me appreciate living in Harstad. I was on a board of about 7 women who had the chance to make really big decisions for our hall. We got the opportunity to plan a number of hall events and activities for all of our residents. My favorite events, although we didn't plan them, were the Women’s Health seminars. We learned a whole bunch of stuff about our bodies and minds, and I think it was really beneficial to embracing who we are as women. I still have a couple of the crafts we made, they were hanging on my door all year and I refused to get rid of them! [P.P., Harstad]
