Walter Tushkov died September 1, 2013.
In 1951, Walter came to the United States from Kufstein, Austria, where he was born, settling in Vineland, N.J., with his mother, grandmother and sister, who all preceded him in death. After high school, he served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and went on to graduate PLU. While living in Washington, he was employed by several manufacturing companies and by the Boeing Co. as a systems analyst. He more recently transferred to the Boeing Philadelphia Division, returning to live in Vineland, then retiring in 2008. Walter was devoted to his son, Tyler, and life partner Barbara Karwowski. He will be fondly remembered by his niece and nephew and his second family, the Karwowskis.
