Saxifrage
Saxifrage for the Win Kids!
What is Saxifrage?
Saxifrage is Pacific Lutheran University's premier literary and art magazine. It consists of work by students, staff, and alumni - poems, traditional art, literary essays, prints, short stories, photography, musical scores, and other works, all selected by volunteer judges from the Pacific Lutheran community. A book by the people, for the people. A celebration and review of excellence. A piece of Pacific Lutheran you can take with you. Submissions to Saxifrage are accepted in the fall semester on a rolling basis, with a  final deadline in early spring. Anyone involved in the university's community can, and is encouraged to submit. We look forward to seeing what you've done.

This is your year, your voice, your Saxifrage.
Submit and be celebrated.

Sincerely Yours,

About the Editors

Anna Rasmussen is a senior majoring in English (poetry) and minoring in Philosophy. She is excited for the upcoming year of creating Saxifrage and interacting with the incredible artist and writer community at PLU.  She is honored to participate in the wonderful tradition of the literary  magazine and hopes to continue challenging and improving the publication.   That being said, she would like to see more romance-novel submissions and she enjoys long walks on the beach.

Leah Thomas is a senior from Battle Ground, WA, majoring in English with an emphasis in writing. She is also a Publishing and Printing Arts minor. She hopes to bring her experience from Phoenix, a comparable magazine at Clark College in Vancouver, WA as an Assistant Literary Editor as well as her enthusiasm and love for a good story to her role as co-editor of Saxifrage. Growing up on books, there's nothing she enjoys more than curling up with a great read and a cup of tea . . . except maybe experimenting with her own attempt at creating a great read.
