ON THE COVER
Photos by Chris Tumbusch

Tara Hudiburg '98 (left) and Megan Turnock '98 turn an eye to the tree tops in search of the next leaf to study. The research project the two are working on is an example of active learning at PLU.

Joel Larson '98, PLU's webmaster, helped design the Scene home page. Making new technology a more integral part of learning is the focus of PLU's Technology Plan.

This collage represents some of the projects addressed by PLU's Framework Master Plan. Projects include: resurfacing the track (completed 1996), Phase II of the Mary Baker Russell Music Center (completion expected early '98), Eastvold Chapel renovation (no date specified) and improvements to the end of Garfield Street where it intersects with campus (no date specified).
