Letter to the Editor
Dear Editor:
Until now, I had thought of PLU alumni, particularly those from the
'30s, '40s and '50s, as a pretty conservative bunch. NO MORE. Your photo
of the "Phelta Neu Thi" (felt a new thigh, indeed!) gathering
put any such thoughts to rest (Scene,
Winter 1999-2000).
Either the cream of PLU society was totally oblivious (not likely) or
a lot more fun-loving than the school (and probably they themselves)
would like to admit--especially to their kids and grandkids.
You clever rascals!
Bob Gordon, director of Senior Media Services,
Lutheran Social Services, Tacoma (and a PLU neighbor).
