Noren ranks third in winning percentage

Rick Noren starts his seventh season as head coach of the PLU softball team ranked third in the nation for winning percentage among active NCAA Division III coaches. Noren, who has led his Lutes to five Northwest Conference titles in the past six seasons, has compiled an outstanding 198-54-1 record and a .785 winning percentage. Noren has taken four of his PLU teams to national tournament competition. Pacific Lutheran has advanced to the NCAA West Region tournament in both 1999 and 2000, compiling a 75-12-1 record in the process.
