Homecoming 2001 – October 12-14
“All The World’s A Stage” is the
theme of Homecoming 2001. This year we pay special tribute to
members of the classes of 1951, 1956, 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976,
1981, 1986, 1991, 1996 and all Choir of the West* alumni. However,
Homecoming 2001 is for everyone! We look forward to offering many
of the popular events you have come to enjoy, as well as several
exciting new ones.
Xavier Hall will be rededicated
during the weekend’s festivities and plans for that will be released
soon. If you remember Xavier as the library, or attended class
in this grand building, you won’t want to miss the celebration.
Attend a regularly scheduled class; participate in the alumni
career fair known as Java, Jobs and Jazz by serving on a panel
or being available to talk with current students; attend the annual
Heritage Lecture; enjoy lunch while learning about several outstanding
men and women being inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame; and
finally join us at the annual Homecoming Gala.
Class reunion brunch events, the Golden Club Brunch at the Gonyea
House, the Alumni Tent and Lute Football game at Sparks Stadium,
and the Class/Choir of the West reunion event at the Tacoma Country
and Golf Club are just a few of the activities planned for Saturday.
Sunday worship with University Congregation and the Choir
of the West Reunion Concert.
* Choir of the West reunion information
has been sent directly to past choir members. If you have not
