Alums strengthen annual fund

David Johnson '74

While David Johnson '74 has been a university administrator at California State Polytechnic Institute in Pomona (Calif.) for 19 years, he has remained true to his alma mater. Johnson is the newest member of the Alumni Board of Directors and has been his class representative since 1997.

Strengthening the annual fund is the number one goal for Johnson and his fellow class representatives in the year ahead. Contributions to the annual fund help PLU meet day-to-day operating expenses. It gives PLU the ability to:

• Attract and retain top-notch students through a strong scholarship program.
  
• Attract and retain nationally distinguished faculty.
  
• Purchase and upgrade learning resources.
  
• Fund student activities that promote leadership skills, personal growth and teamwork.
