Q-Business
connects PLU to business community

number of Q Club Business donors.

President
of Fife Towing and dedicated alum Phil Waldner (BBA '80; MAE '95)
helped form Q Business, a subcommittee of the Q Club Board committed
to attracting more business donors to the Q Club.
"Most of the businesses benefit directly from having PLU in our
region," Waldner says. "If they don't have a PLU graduate
working for them, then it's a good bet that one of their associates,
vendors or suppliers does."
Waldner sees the Q Club, with its focus on student scholarships, as
a natural place for business owners to direct their support.
"The
graduates of PLU are not only the future business people in our
community, they're also the teachers in our schools, the nurses
in our hospitals and the volunteers who serve on the boards and
committees," Waldner said. "I can't think of a better
way for business owners to support both educational opportunity
and the future of their own communities."
