Annual Alumni Women's Spring
Luncheon a success
There was great enthusiasm for inviting
all PLU alumni women to the Annual Alumni Women's Spring Luncheon.
For 50 years, the event has been put on for women of the '30s
to the '50s. Internationally known artist Julie Ueland '79, was
the featured speaker at the March 23 luncheon, sponsored by the
Special Events Committee of the Alumni Board. After a delightful
luncheon and delicious desserts, Julie reflected on some of the
biggest events that have occurred in the lifetimes of the women
in attendance, the changing roles of women, and her personal journey
as a working wife and mother, starving artist, and successful
businesswoman. We invite all PLU alumni women to mark your calendar
now for the 2003 luncheon set for Saturday, March 15.
