South Sound Regional Science Fair

Registration for the 2012 South Sound Regional Science Fair is Closed

The South Sound Regional Science Fair will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012. All participants must register their projects by Wednesday, March 14, 2012 so that project safety review can be completed.

General Rules and Guidelines (K-8)

  • All students must refrain from doing experiments which may be hazardous to themselves, others, or animals.
  • All projects must follow the scientific method and test a hypothesis. No displays or demonstration projects, for example, no volcano demonstrations.
  • Students may work by themselves or as a team of two (recommended) or three members. If students on the team are in different grade levels, the team will be placed in the highest grade level of the members
  • A student’s project should reflect his/her age and ability level.
  • All experiments must be supervised by an adult.
  • No materials will be allowed as part of the student display at the fair.
