If you would like a member of the Center for Community Engagement Staff to offer a brief orientation on community-engaged teaching to help students orient themselves toward community-based learning, please fill out this request form at least 2 weeks prior to the class period that you are requesting. We will do our best to accommodate your schedule. Topics include the history of community-engaged teaching, why PLU is committed to this type of teaching, statistics and stories about the local community, and reflection questions that help students prepare for community-based service and learning. A CCES staff member will respond to your request as quickly as possible.
