EFN distributes food to more than 60 different food banks, hot meal sites and shelters throughout Pierce County each year. In 2013, more than 15 million pounds of food went through the EFN Distribution Center.

Some of the food is purchased or donated in bulk. Volunteers help repack these items into one- and two-pound family sized bags. Once repackaged these bags are ready for distribution to individuals and families in need at Pierce County food banks. Transportation will be provided. We will meet outside Harstad Hall at 11:30 am to take a PLU van to the event together. We will return around 3:30 pm.

We are seeking volunteers for the 2015 MESA Day competition. You may volunteer by registering to be a contest judge or scorekeeper. A background in STEM is not necessary.

All volunteers will need to complete a ‘free’ background check and a volunteer form. Please note, the online registration deadline is Monday, March 9, 2015.

To ensure you have a successful volunteer experience, two training times are available. Volunteers need only attend one.
