To address demand for more campus performances, and to raise much-needed scholarship funds for talented future performers, we present the inaugural Christmas Music Scholarship Concert on Saturday, December 13, 2014, in Lagerquist Concert Hall.

``Waste Not`` Documentary Examines Food Waste

Intrigued and disturbed by a statistic that more than one-third of all food goes to waste, PLU students began to research food waste in October 2013. Their yearlong investigation culminated with a new documentary titled “Waste Not: Breaking Down the Food Equation.”

Student Composition Wins Statewide Competition

Seattle’s renowned Lake Union Civic Orchestra opened its 20th anniversary season with pieces by Mozart, de Falla, Respighi – and Whatley. That’s Taylor Whatley ’15, a Music Composition major at Pacific Lutheran University. And his original composition, “Fanfare Giocoso,” premiered as the opening number of LUCO’s first concert of 2014-15.

University Gallery Celebrates Student Work in Juried Student Exhibition

Take a walk through Ingram Hall on November 13 between 10 a.m. and noon, and you’ll see scurrying student artists framing prints, attaching hanging wires and putting the final touches on their creations. Artists will be arriving at the University Gallery to submit work to the Gallery’s annual Juried Student Exhibition, which opens November 19.
