Meet PLU alumna Joel Zylstra '05

As the new director of The Center for Community Engagement and Service, Joel Zylstra is excited to connect PLU students with local community programs and projects.

PLU Night at the Rainiers

Join us for a night at the ballpark on Friday, August 24 at 7pm - it's PLU Night at the Rainiers! For only $10/person, participants will enjoy admission to the game, a hot dog, soda, chips and viewing of fireworks after the game. We will be showcasing Lute talent - from the National Anthem to the first pitch. Click here for more info!

Computers

All student computers connected to the PLU network must have a current anti-virus subscription on them. PLU provides this software for free. To download the free anti-virus software and begin your service, have your ePass ready and click here.

Athletics: Required Pre-participation Medical Examinations

New students planning to participate in a PLU sport must undergo a medical examination at the PLU Health Center. This service is provided at no charge, is mandatory, and must be completed at the PLU Health Center. New students who live within driving distance of PLU should come in during the month of July or the first week in August. Students who live outside of driving distance should call to schedule an appointment (253-535-7337) before athletic practice begins.

PLAN AHEAD

Orientation and Move-In Day

New Student Orientation begins Thursday, August 30th. It’s also move-in day for all students: new students begin at 9:00am and continuing students begin at 11:00am. Prepare for a day full of energy and excitement! To help ease your transition on to campus, check out these move-in tips and view the orientation program.

Tingelstad Gated Lot

Looking for guaranteed open parking spots, with the benefit of a fenced lot with card-access? Purchase a parking decal for the Tingelstad Gated Lot and never have to look for a place to park again. (Decal is good for parking only in this PLU lot.)
