NEW PLU Student Checklist:

As a NEW Student, you will complete the following before you continue on to complete the items under CONTINUING PLU Student Checklist:

  • Pay Advance Tuition Deposit - www.plu.edu/BeALute
    You will need to pay your Advance Tuition Deposit online and complete housing forms

  • Create PLU email - ePass - www.plu.edu/newepass
    After your PLU Advance Tuition Deposit is paid, you are required to request your PLU email account. Have your 8 digit PLU ID number ready. PLU email is the main source of communication between you and the university.

  • Student Conduct Survey - LINK
    All new students are required to complete the Student Conduct Survey.

  • Medical History, Consent & Immunization History form - LINK
    In your PLU acceptance packet, you received this form to complete and submit to the PLU Health Center.rms

CONTINUING PLU Student Checklist:

  • Payment Contract - All students are required to electronically sign and submit the online Payment Contract for each academic year attended.  Below are directions on completing the online contract.

       This annual contract consists of:
       1. Agreeing to the Terms and Conditions to attend PLU
       2. Selecting a Payment Option  you will use - view options

   NOTE: To change your payment option at a later date, contact the Student Services Center in writing

    Online Instructions
     ♦ Go to Banner Self Service banweb.plu.edu
     ♦ Enter Secure Area (Banner Web)
   
  ♦ Login with your PLU ID and PIN
      (found in your PLU Admission Acceptance packet)
     ♦ Choose Student Services
     ♦ Choose Payment Contract - Required Annually
         Complete the two part contract
         1. Agreeing to the Terms and Conditions to attend PLU
         2. Selecting a Payment Option
     ♦ Choose SUBMIT my Payment Contract
     ♦ SUBMIT

SPECIAL NOTE: If you are under the age of 18 when signing online, your parent or legal guardian must also print, sign and mail the Parent/Legal Guardian Contract to the Student Services Center.

  • Offer of Financial Aid, if applicable - If you have received an Offer of Financial Aid. You need to accept or decline your financial aid online. Notification of any revisions to your Offer of Financial Aid will be emailed to your student PLU email with instructions to view any changes. It is your responsibility to check the messages on what was changed, make sure you relay the information to a parent/guardian or any person helping you make financial decisions, if applicable.

         (Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan is upon credit approval)

  • International wire transfers may be made through the University’s International Payment Processor Peer Transfer online at https://peertransfer.com/plu or by calling

  • Health Insurance - Required

  • The 2011-2012 fee for the PLU International Student Health Insurance Plan is $825 for the academic year, $435 for students enrolling for one semester only.  This insurance plan meets best practices recommended by the US State Department. Plan Details

    The insurance plan fee will be billed as part of the fall billing process, or spring billing for those who start spring semester. If you are approved to waived-out, a future bill or statement will show the insurance cost reversed. Financial aid resources can help cover the cost of the insurance plan.

    Health Insurance ID Cards:  Health insurance identification cards will be available through the PLU Student Health Center.

    International students must have their insurance company submit the International Student Health Insurance Plan Waiver no later than September 19, 2011.  No waivers will be accepted after midnight on September 19, 2011. NEW Spring entering students, no waivers will be accepted after midnight on February 22, 2012.

    Waive Out Instructions for International Students:

    1.  Complete the top portion of the International Student Insurance Plan Waiver.

    2.  Ask your insurance company representative to complete the remaining portion of the International Student Insurance Plan Waiver.

    3.  Your insurance company will submit the completed form to the Office of Finance & Operations via mail:

              or via fax: (253) 536-5047.

    4.  If the waiver is approved, the next bill or statement will show the insurance plan fee reversed.

    5.  If the waiver is denied, the student will be notified by the Office of Finance & Operations.
