Can a student work after graduation?

Students are allowed to continue working after graduation for both fall and spring graduates. However, they are allowed to work for only a small time period. Fall graduates may work through January 31st, and spring graduates may work until August 31st.

When can a student who requires a background check begin working?

A student in need of a background check may begin working only after the employer receives the hiring confirmation. It is a good idea to plan ahead and enter the job into the Career Connections Opportunities Board early, to allow enough time for processing the background check.

If a student is not taking a J-term class, can they work 40 hours per week?

The student can only work 40 hrs/wk in J-term if they took classes in the fall, and are enrolled in spring semester.
