Student Employee of the Month
The Student Employee of the Month program began in September, 2008. All student employees are eligible for the award and each award winner will automatically be added into the Student Employee of the Year program that will be decided in the spring.
Supervisors are encouraged to nominate a student they feel has exceptionally represented the PLU student work force on campus each month. Nominators will fill out a form explaining who the employee is and what makes them stand out from the rest. Nominations need to be submitted by the 15th of each month and announcements will be made in the Mast by the end of each month. Winners of the monthly submissions will receive a small token of gratitude (Lute Bucks=$10) and the honor of being recognized in the Mast.
The selected Student Employee of the Year will be nominated to the Washington State Association of Student Employment Administrators (WSASEA) for consideration in the state-wide award. Other leadership recognition could come along with this honor as well. The PLU winner of the Student Employee of the Year will receive a Visa Credit card worth $50 and will be recognized in the Mast as well.
Student Employees are a very important part of our work force at PLU. We hope to recognize the impact they have in each of our departments/divisions. All student employees should be recognized as important and celebrated in some way each year.

We extend a big thank you to the employers for the work you do with students in your department/division. When we all work together, we will make a difference.
