Who is a part of Media Board?
A. PLU’s Student Media is advised by the University Student Media Board, which consists of representatives from each Student Media group, a faculty representative, and two ASPLU appointed student representatives. A representative from Student Life, along with Student Media group advisers, attend meetings as nonvoting members.
What is Media Board’s purpose and goals?
A.

The primary purposes of student media are: 

  1. To provide outlets for student writing, graphics, photography, video, digital technology, and audio;
  2. To provide for the exchange of information and opinions;
  3. To record life at PLU;
  4. To offer students a media experience in a professional setting;
  5. To learn accepted standards of mass media in society as prescribed by The Society of Professional Journalists Code of Ethics.
Where and when does Media Board meet?
A. The Media Board meets once a month to discuss policy, budgeting, media events and collaborative projects. Primarily USMB meets in AUC 171 on the Lower Level of the Anderson University Center. See Calendar for exact dates and times.
