Where I studied: Quito, Ecuador and Oaxaca, Mexico

Majors/Minors: Hispanic Studies and Global Studies / Math and Statistics

Year: Senior

Other: During my time abroad I learned how to navigate the periférico in Quito, where you can find the best tacos in Oaxaca, and how to create the vibrant colors found on the rugs in Teotitlan del Valle. But above all I discovered the tremendous value of being immersed in a new and diverse culture, an adventure in which I would be absolutely delighted to help any fellow student find!

Other: Studying away was one of the most rewarding and life-changing experiences I've had and I really enjoy hearing about the experiences of others. I love adventure and taking that step outside my comfort zone. During my travels either within the US or abroad, I love being in nature, going new places and trying every little restaurant and bakery around me. Hopefully there will be many more adventures soon in the future!

Where I studied: Chile (SIT)

Majors: Political Science and Global Studies - Development and Social Justice
Minors: Environmental Studies and Hispanic Studies

Year: Senior

Other: After clumsily learning to navigate the micros (buses) and the metro (subway) in Santiago, I feel much more confident in my directional abilities. Now, I'm excited to help point students in the direction of their own wonderful study away experiences. A happily retired high school athlete, I now prefer to exercise my mind. I'm hoping to go to grad school for human geography in the near future!

Majors: Hispanic Studies and Global Studies: Social Justice and Development

Minor: Religion

Year: Senior

Other: I caught the travel bug when I went to Paris, France my freshmen year of high school, and have been traveling ever since! While most of my travels have brought me all across Europe, I enjoyed a long weekend in Morocco during my time studying away in Granada as well. I am passionate about travel as one of the best learning methods, and I can't wait to help others along the way to finding their own adventure. Next stop for me: Latin America after graduation, if all goes well!
