Sustainability

Transferring from Humboldt State University In Northern California, I Cory Boyd found my passion when I came to PLU. Joining the Sustainability team allowed me to further explore my environmental passions. PLU is a great tight knit community which allows for connections and many possible job opportunities. Through the the Sustainability department I was head of infrastructure and my goal was to raise the recycling rate to 80 percent by reconfiguring all trash receptacles across campus. I worked closely with staff and faculty to make campus a better place.  As a result, PLU is now using 13,500 less trash bags a year.

PLU football was my passion for 2 years but through  my education I learned life was much bigger then sports. My spare time I love to play basketball make people laugh and meet new people!
