Sebastian Hernandez

Sebastian HernandezSebastian Hernandez is a senior at PLU majoring in Music Education.  He plays in the Jazz Ensemble and Trumpet Ensemble.  In his spare time Sebastian loves to play piano, drum set, and bass guitar for Champion Center as well as playing acoustic guitar and cajon for Intervarsity Christian Fellowship.

John Heckel

John HeckelJohn Heckel is a senior at PLU pursuing a BA degree in Music, and is also on the pre-med track.  John plays trumpet in the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Trumpet Ensemble.  He has also played piano for 13 years.  On weekends he is learning to ride horses.

Ben BaileyBen Bailey is a sophomore at PLU double majoring in mathematics and computer engineering with a minor in music.  He has played trumpet for nine years and is currently playing in the Jazz Ensemble and Trumpet Ensemble at PLU.  He also plays bassoon in the Concert Band.
Mykal Moody
Mykal MoodyMykal is a senior at PLU majoring in Musical Arts and minoring in Business Administration. He plays in the University Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, Trumpet Ensemble, and is a member of a Chamber Ensemble. In his free time, he like to play his trumpet, listen to all types of music, watch movies, and spend time with his family and friends.
Foster Robertson
Foster RobertsonFoster Robertson is a junior Music Education major. He is playing in the University Wind Ensemble, the University Symphony Orchestra, the University Concert Band (on tuba), the Trumpet Ensemble, and the student brass quintet. In his precious moments outside of class or the practice room, he enjoys slouching about and listening to Tower of Power.
Ken Lorentzen
Ken LorentzenKen Lorentzen is a junior at PLU pursuing a degree in music education. While in high school he participated in the Port Angeles High School wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, symphonic orchestra, symphonic choir and Vocal Unlimited (jazz choir). Outside of school, he was a part of the Port Angeles symphony orchestra for four years, played for two years in a newly formed local big band called Olympic Express, and has performed as a part of the pit orchestra for Port Angeles Light Opera Association for the past four summers. He was a trumpet soloist qualifier for Washington state solo & ensemble contest each year during high school and placed 1st with a brass quintet in 2007. He has had two opportunities, once with his high school jazz ensemble and once with Vocal Unlimited, to perform on the main state at the Lionel Hampton International Jazz Festival. Currently, Ken performs with the PLU wind ensemble and orchestra. Aside from music, Ken lives for the outdoors and spends every moment he can hiking around beautiful Washington State. 
Robert Layton

Robert LaytonRobert Layton is a junior at PLU majoring in Trumpet Performance. He has been playing trumpet for 11 years and participates in the Wind Ensemble, University Symphony Orchestra, and Trumpet Ensemble. In his spare time, Robert enjoys playing pool and ping pong, listening to music, and watching hockey.

Caleb Chandler
Caleb ChandlerCaleb Chandler is a sophomore from Graham, WA at PLU pursuing interests in the natural sciences. He is currently playing in the Wind Ensemble and the Trumpet Ensemble and has played trumpet for 9 years. When he is not studying he is probably fishing for salmon or listening to music.
Claire Rehmke
Claire RehmkeClaire Rehmke is a sophomore at PLU majoring in Music Education. She has been playing trumpet for 10 years. At PLU she plays in Wind Ensemble, University Symphony Orchestra, and the Trumpet Ensemble. Outside of the practice room and rehearsals, Claire enjoys listening to music and playing piano.
Rainey Aberle
Rainey AberleRainey Aberle is a sophomore at PLU from Bellingham, WA. She has been playing the trumpet since 2009, and also loves playing the piano and fiddling with percussion instruments. She intends to study physics, music, and possibly a little French. She has lived in Seattle, WA, various parts of Rhode Island, and hopes to study abroad in future terms.
