You are a member of the Associated Students of Pacific Lutheran University (or ASPLU). The student government is structured with 22 senators to represent all students. A Transfer Student Senator, Non-traditional Student Senator, Off-campus senators, and senators representing student organizations are all tasked with advocating for your needs. You can find names and contact information here. ASPLU also plans and manages numerous activities, dances, recreational outings, concerts and the Cave (a night-time place to hang out). Opportunities to be actively involved with program committees are always available. Stop by the ASPLU Office in the UC (room 140).

The Center for Public Service provides service-learning and volunteer opportunities from Community Work Study to short-term projects and everything in between. Bring your own combination lock to Student Involvement and Leadership (UC 161) and we’ll get you set up with a locker in the lower level of the University Center.
Along with the array of programs that come out of Student Involvement and Leadership, the Transfer Student Intern works to create programs and events designed especially for you! From family game nights to late night residence hall programs, as well as dinners, concerts, and helpful workshops, you’re sure to find plenty to keep you busy. In Peer Transfer Connections (of PTC, as we like to call it), we pair new transfer students with more seasoned transfer students. You may share majors, interests, of life circumstances. Peer transfer partners may share information about resources on campus, facilitate tours or outings, introduce you to some of the professors you may have, and just be there as a good resource – and hopefully a new friend!
