Give. Advocate. Volunteer.
Your Support Makes a Real Difference
Dear Colleagues,
As we approach the end of our annual United Way campaign, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have been so generous in your support. And for those of you who have yet to make a gift, this is a friendly reminder.
The fact that you give is much more important than how much you give. Please help us show Pierce County that PLU can be counted on to help those in our community who are most in need. You can give online now or return your print donation form by Friday, Dec. 4.
Thanks again,
Greg Youtz

Together We Can Change the Lives of Families in Our Community
The demand in the South Sound for basic human needs has skyrocketed. Huge increases in foreclosures, unemployment and bankruptcies have created an unprecedented demand for assistance with rent, food and utilities. All of this comes at a time when our traditional social service nonprofits are struggling to meet these and other essential needs.
You can help. You can "Live United." By working together we can accomplish much more than any one of us can alone. Be an advocate, a volunteer and most of all a donor to PLU's 2009 Campaign for the United Way of Pierce County.
The PLU community has a United Way campaign goal of $25,000 this year. You can help make this goal a reality. But how much you give isn't as important as the fact that you give. It is much more important that you care enough to be involved, at any level of support.
The campaign this year runs from Nov. 9 to Dec. 4. And some things are a little different this year. There will be no kickoff lunch. There will be no raffle. There will be no follow-up phone call or e-mails. This year it's up to you to come through.
You may contribute by cash, check, credit card or debit card. Or you might consider a small monthly payroll dedication - it's an easy way to make a larger gift. Thanks in advance for your consideration and support.
