United Way of Pierce County is committed to making measurable improvements in the lives of people in our community by providing a safety net for those in crisis. United Way is an important part of our community.

Now is the time to team up with United Way and PLU as we seek to reach our United Way campaign goal of $20,000 and a 25 percent faculty and staff participation rate.

You can help make this goal a reality. And remember, how much you give isn’t as important as the fact that you give.

 

But wait! There’s more!

For those who give for the first time or give more this year, the PLU campaign has secured a $6,000 challenge matching grant. It is simple, every new dollar you give will be increased by 50 percent.

  • Increase your contribution over last year and every new dollar you give will instantly become $1.50.
  • If you don’t currently give or haven’t given in the last year,  your entire gift will be increased 50 percent.

Giving is easy. Join PLU and United Way in making a difference.

  • You may give to the Community Solutions Fund or to any agency you designate (including agencies outside of Pierce County).
  • You may donate here or you may donate by completing the pledge form sent to you via campus mail and returning it to Human Resources.
  • You may give by payroll deduction, cash, check or credit card through November 30.

When you give to United Way your gift is combined with others and provides a safety net of services by funding more than 60 nonprofit agencies providing over 100 different programs.
