Volunteers for Elementary & High School After-School Programs

In an era of inequity and denied access, Peace Community Center aims to empower low income students and students of color through mentorship and tutoring so that they can reach their full potential.  We are looking for volunteers who are interested in working with either high school or elementary aged youth.
The KidREACH program works with children 6-11 years old; 1st-5th grade.  Tutoring takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:10-7:50 p.m.  Tutors will get the option to sign up for either one of those days or they can sign up for both days if they choose.  Tutors work one-on-one with the same student September-May.

The Hilltop Scholars program is an after-school program that works with students in Tacoma's Hilltop area high schools.  Tutoring runs Monday-Thursday from 3:00-5:15 p.m.  Volunteers are ask to commit at least one day a week.

Seeking Coach/Mentor's to work with adolescent and young adults with ADHD

Students will be assisting with scheduling, goal setting, confidence building, organizing, focusing, prioritizing and persisting at tasks with students
