Section Journey - Before
Be Prepared

Preparation for your study abroad experience is a shared responsibility for you and The Wang Center staff. We will help evaluate your readiness for the program, but you will take the major initiative in determining your preparedness academically, emotionally, interpersonally and medically for study abroad. Later, if it is agreed this program would be a good match for you, you will take the lead in designing your pre-departure goals and preparing accordingly.

Your initial preparation is a four-stage process:

Determine Your Readiness

Take a personal inventory by reviewing our list of questions about your expectations and level of preparedness.

Apply to Study Away

Assess your goals and which study away program will best meet them and then complete your application.

Financial Aid

Explore your options for financial assistance in studying away. The level of support you will receive may vary from program to program.

Prepare to Depart

Research your host country and chosen program and take steps to ready yourself for life abroad.
