Women's History Month - March is Women's History Month! Email the Women's Center at womenscenter@plu.edu to find out how you can become involved in programs and events during March to recognize and celebrate the contributions women have made in the world! 

International Women's Day - As part of Women's History Month, International Women's Day is March 8th! Celebrate the women who have made contributions in the world and a difference in your life!  

The Vagina Monologues - Join us for an evening of monologues about being a woman! Monologues vary each year, but topics often include love, sex, rape, masturbation, menstruation, orgasm, and more! Auditions are held in the Fall, for those interested in participating!

Elect Her - Elect Her is a unique workshop that encourages collegiate women to participate in student government and teaches them the skills succeed in leadership positions.   

Sexual Assault Awareness Month - April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month! Contact the Sexual Assault Peer Education Team (SAPET) at sapet@plu.edu or Voices Against Violence at voices@plu.edu to find out how you can participate in or even plan an event! 

Take Back the Night - Take Back the Night is an event that aims to shed light on the violence that women face. Join us for a march and rally in Red Square where women and men share their experiences and speak out against violence that affects women!

Inspirational Women's Banquet - Join us in celebration of inspirational women from across the PLU community! This year's banquet will be held on Thursday, March 21st from 5-7pm in the Scan Center (UC). Contact the Women's Center at womenscenter@plu.edu to nominate an inspirational woman in your life!  

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes - Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is an event put on by Men As Partners Promoting Equality (MAPPE) and SAPET that asks young men to literally put themselves in the shoes of a woman they care about. It's a fun event that gets the community talking about important issues surrounding gender violence.
