Resources for Writers

In this section of our website, you will find a number of useful resources for addressing common moves, expectations, and errors in academic writing. Issues that we commonly address in our one-to-one consultations in the writing center have individual, curated lists of resources collected by our well-trained staff of writing consultants. Use the menu below to access these pages.

Additionally, we recommend that you check out the resources pages from the University of North Carolina Writing Center, the University of Wisconsin-Madison Writing Center, and the Odegaard Writing and Research Center at the University of Washington.

During Fall and Spring Semesters, the PLU Writing Center is open M-Thurs. 9a to 8p, Friday 9a to 1p, and Sunday 4p to 8p. You can make an appointment by emailing us at writing@plu.edu or by calling 253-535-8709. Please note that we are open for limited hours during January Term and we are closed for all summer sessions.

If you have any questions, please contact the director of the PLU Writing Center, Rona Kaufman (kaufmard@plu.edu).
