Genoa - Vernazza
Today we travel from Milan to Vernazza with a
mid-day stop in Genoa, legendary birthplace of Columbus and one of Italy's former maritime republics, a city
built on trade. Read the first chapter from Stephen Epstein's book Genoa and the Genoese
to develop your understanding of the role Genoa's environment played in
her development as a maritime republic. We settle in for an
evening presentationat Riomaggiore Castle by Mr. Gianluca Pasini introducing us to Cinque Terre National Park.
