YOUR ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT

A transcript is a record of your academic progress.  It provides an array of information, including a detailed list of all courses you have taken, the credits that have been completed, and your Grade Point Average.

Although a transcript provides great information, it can often be difficult to understand.  When viewing your transcript, the following questions may arise:
  • What is the difference between Ehrs and GPA Hrs? 
  • What are QPts and how are they determined?
  • Why is it so difficult to raise my GPA?

Calculating Your GPA

1.  Multiply the points per hour by the number of credit hours of the class (ex: A grade of an A in STAT 231 is 4.00 x 4 = 16.00)       2. Find the sum of the total points for each class you have taken for the semester (ex: A in STAT 231=16.00 + B in BUSA 201=12.00 + A- in RELI 237=14.68-> 42.68)  3.  Divide the above sum by the GPA Hrs to arrive at your semester GPA        (ex: 42.68 / 12 = 3.56)
